Valerie June Live New York City

Ms Valerie June is a vessel. Her voice travels from her heart to our souls and we are transported to a place of peace, freedom and strength.  Her acoustic ballets took me back in history. As she strummed her banjo, a descendant of African musical instruments created in the American and Caribbean slave colonies, I discovered I had a little Valerie June in me and I felt proud. History never dies, it lives through our spirit and tell us a story. Thanks for taking me back to a time and place to remember.
